When I first started woodworking over 30 years ago I had visions of a hardwood bench with a face and tail vise all smooth and level, glorious. Funny how things change and you find out that the way your doing it is just the way it should be done. For instance in the above set up I needed to bevel a panel for a box bottom. I used two scraps, cut a wedge on the band saw, five roof'in nails, my little smoother and way we go. set up time was 4 minutes and the work was quiet not machine crazy loud
another side table finished. this one is walnut base and cherry top. these table leg take a lot of time to shape the legs but i love the look
